Roots-Dancehall Selections Volume 2 (1978-84)
Don Carlos & Idren
More classic roots and roots-dancehall hit tunes and rarities inna 12'' discomix style with deejay cuts and dub versions. Roots Radics predominant with nuff Junjo Lawes, Sly & Robbie and Prince Jammy productions among many others. In many ways the start of the 1980s was an exceptionally good, creative period for reggae music. The move towards a more dancehall-friendly (and less militant) sound began late in the 70s and borrowed heavily from the traditions and rhythms of rocksteady of over a decade earlier.
Continuous mix. Total 157 minutes. Repost..
