Centers around the inspirational & sensational works of Ben Harper alongside his band the Innocent Criminals as well as with the legendary Blind Boys of Alabama. Also some deeply spiritual songs by the Holmes Brothers. A good few surprises 😋

Begins with protest & resistance songs (🔥🔥🔥 Babylon) before moving to a few brutally reflective gideon songs. A series of joyous, uplifting spirituals is then followed by some more soul-searching before coming to a optimistic & contented conclusion...

If been a real pleasure to revisit some of these old favorites of mine. The live session was a surprising success. Far from no one tuning in as I'd suspected might happen it was rocking this Friday night on hearticalfm.com as everyone really appreciated a break from the usual reggae jeggae..
